Old maid goes.. New maid comes

2 weeks ago on a cheery bright sunday, Ah Ni, decided to give me a surprise. She decided to go home! Her mum's sick, she claimed. You believe? I don't... Same old maid tactic, and I'm suppose to send her back asap and so of cos I dragged her time a little. Quickly, the very next day, I made my rounds to Bukit Timah Shopping Center where all the agencies are clustered together, spent a few hrs there searching for maid and finally got one. And guess what? She decided not to go back after she discovered from Ayden, who has a big mouth, that we got a new maid. She was crying so badly, saying that she can't bear to leave us and all...

As a kind lady, I decided to give her another chance to think about it properly. So next day, Ah Ni told me she still decided to leave, she doesn't want to create problems for me (which in fact she did!). Fine, at least I don't have to trouble myself to do all the cancellations for the new maid. I guess she was shocked that I found a maid so fast, I can't help but think to myself that she's testing my market, maybe she's hoping that I'll beg her to stay, increase her pay or even give her day off. Yada yada yada....

So, after a couple of days, when I got a call from the agency that my new maid has been approved and I can picked her up anytime, immediately, I asked my sis-in-law to book a ticket for me to send her back home. Anyway, she's in ORD mood liao lah, got no mood to work so hard. And the best part? She even bought a DIY hair-dye and dyed her hair brown 2 nights before she was leaving. I thought, ok..never mind. Then on that very day that she left, she woke up with painted finger and toe nails! So, do you think her mum's really sick?
