Soothing himself back to sleep

I told myself that this time round with the 2nd kid, I'm gonna train him to go back sleep on his own should he wakes up in the middle of the night. With Ayden, it was always rock or patting him to sleep, but then again, thank goodness Ayden's pretty easy to train be it whatever. I FORCED him to sleep on his own since 2 years old. With Alsten, when he turned 2 months old, he slept through the night till 6am for his milk feed, there are times when he'll have disrupted sleep but if he didn't cry out loud, I'll just leave him alone to play with himself. At first, it was pretty tough cos you know, babies always sleep faster when you pat them, but I told myself, even if he's awake for long, I've gotta be determine not to even bother about him. So usually, if he's awake, I'll just continue laying beside him, not making a noise hoping that he'll go back sleep himself and it works! Of course he'll make alot of noise, going ga-ga and sometimes even screaming, but I still won't bother.. Lucky Eric still can sleep like a log even though he knows what's going on.. Just tahan for a few days and now, it's a breeze, he can go back sleep on his own without me 'helping' him. Like this, I can train him to sleep with kor kor after he turned 1.
