Alsten in hospital

Alsten's temperature been going up and down since Wed. The 2nd night his fever ran up to 39.8 deg again, very high for an infant his age, lucky after a dose of medication, it went down to around 37.8 in the morning. But strangely, he refuse to drink his milk the whole day, everytime he saw the milk bottle, he would scream and cry, I figured that there must be something wrong with him, it was as though he's in terrible pain from drinking. The most, he would only consume about 50ml after being hungry for hours. He continued his crying till late at night where we knew we had to get him to the A&E as we were worried about dehydration if this continues on. Well, as we had guessed, he had oral thrush in his mouth, something like ulcer. There were tons of it! No wonder he was crying in pain. The paediatrician wanted to admit him so that he can be observed as he had history of high fever for 2 days. And he also wanted to do blood test and urine test to check what's the cause of the high fever, he suggested that it might be virus fever, but also might be urinary tract infection coz he got very foul smelling urine. Oh my god, UTI for a baby?
